Frank Zappa thinks Warner Bros. Sucks! ca. 1979.

IF YOU CAN’T ROCK ME… THE ROLLING STONES WILL.
(Somebody was wasted)

Ronnie Van Zant with the 'key to the city' given to him by the Mayor of Jacksonville seen hanging around his neck, ca. 1970s. Ronnie's t-shirt is even more notable-- Who the F*ck are the Rolling Stones anyway? It was 32 years ago that six lives were claimed in that tragic plane crash-- Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines, Cassie Gaines, assistant road manager Dean Kilpatrick, pilot Walter McCreary and co-pilot William Gray.

New: Adidas x Sennheiser headphones - old school audio

One of the coolest sets of headphones on the market - but the Adidas x Sennheiser headphones come at a hefty price.
Mixing audio know-how with old school cool (they are part of the Adidas Originals range, with a design offering a nod to classic 70s sportswear), they use Sennheiser’s highly regarded, DJ-friendly HD 25-1-II headphones as a base, with Adidas adding the black and blue colour scheme, three stripes and Adidas logo. Not only that, they even come in an old school Adidas box and with an Adidas-branded bag - you can see an image of that over the page.
Don't know if it will be available here in Malaysia but if not you can pick them up from the online Adidas Store.

News : The Art of the Band T-shirt

Pub. Date   : June 2007
Publisher   : Simon & Schuster Adult Publishing Group
Format      : Paperback, 240pp

T-shirts were just unadorned undergarments. But with the evolution of screen printing and the birth of band merchandising, T-shirts became so much cooler. Now every band with an ounce of savvy knows the importance of T-shirts not only as a lucrative sideline but also as a means of self-promotion and a way for fans to show their allegiance.

The Art of the Band T-shirt is a visual history of that perennial fashion statement, complete with nearly two hundred images of the mostimportant, influential, iconic, and ironic T-shirts. It includes shirt images from artists as diverse as Led Zeppelin, the Ramones, Madonna,Morrissey, Public Enemy, and the Flaming Lips, each with a caption thatincludes historical background, little-known facts, or an artist's comments about the design.

A fascinating, beautifully illustrated archive for hipsters, fashionistas, serious collectors, and all music fans, The Art of the Band T-shirt is as indispensable and classically cool as the perfect T-shirt.

News : Sonic Youth

My first experience with the band was Experimental Jetset Trash and No Star — then I travelled backwards and forwards through the continuum of their sound and it programmed me for so many different sonic experiences I might not otherwise have been hip to. That album remains a favourite with Daydream Nation close on its heels but there is such a variety to choose from.

I’d say those of you who love Sonic Youth and those of you who love collecting rare records should all seek out Sonic Youth’s album which was put together for Starbucks. Sonic Youth had asked friends and fans to list their favorites for a special comp! That sounds awesome, but then it turned to crap...If you were ever to lose hope in music, now might be the time to do it.

According to Lee Ranaldo “We did a record with Starfucks… er, Starbucks. It’s interesting because it was kind of a compilation– celebrities picking their favourite Sonic Youth songs. When we put it together, we thought it was going to be the biggest sell-out of our career. At the time we did it, Starbucks was the only company in America that had figured out how to sell records when all the labels were falling on the floor. But by the time ours came out… It’s the rarest record we’ve ever released. It’s impossible to find in the shops. I don’t know how many they made– literally a few hundred.”

News : Surface To Air

Surface to Air was born out of a beat up old loft in Union Square, NY in 1996. Its initial members began to work together as artists, and the space quickly transformed itself into a cultural breeding ground for other new and emerging artists to come and create and exhibit their work in an environment that supported them. In the years that have since followed, the members of Surface to Air have been developing into a more sophisticated means those very same ideas which originally inspired it - that of finding a unique place where true creativity and artistic expression meets the commercial palate of the global community at large.
